Did you know that recycled Styrofoam to-go containers and packaging foam can be made into picture frames and crown molding? The City, in partnership with Dart Container, Naperville Noon Lions and Naperville Environment and Sustainability Task Force, will host a drive-thru Styrofoam recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11.

There will also be two more City-hosted Styrofoam collection events later this year. For details for all three events, including a list of what’s accepted, visit naperville.il.us/WasteRecycling.

You’re invited to attend the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Open House from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, at the Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.

This drop-in event (no presentation) allows participants to view maps of proposed routes, explore design options for crossings and bikeway improvements and speak directly with the project team. Today marks NEST’s 7th Anniversary as a City of Naperville Task Force 🎉. We’d like to thank all the elected officials as well as the city professional staff that have supported us and taken steps forward to prioritize sustainability.
