It was a beautiful Saturday at Growing Solutions Farm for our first Flower Bouquet Workshop!

Friends of the Farm spent the afternoon creating their own bouquets, connecting with one another and enjoying the Farm.

A huge thank you to , our Markets & Volunteer Manager, for bringing this wonderful idea to life. Events like this are a great way to bring people together, introduce new friends to Growing Solutions Farm, and support the work happening here.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and made the afternoon so special. We'll have to do it again!

Mike Tracy recently joined fellow organization leaders on a panel at the Autism Speaks Empower Summit, discussing recreation and social supports for autistic young adults.

Mike shared more about UAS social programs and the opportunities we provide for young adults and families to connect and stay engaged in the community.

His experience and perspective were greatly appreciated, and he even got a few laughs from the audience along the way.

Nineteen UAS participants, along with almost a dozen family members and friends, came together for our third annual Navy Pier outing!

We spent time exploring the Pier, enjoying time together, and taking in the sights before ending the night with fireworks. It was a great way to spend an August summer evening with our friends and family.

Meet us at 6:30 PM to explore the food, sights, and shops together . . . and stay for the 9 PM fireworks if you’d like.

Growing Solutions Farm welcomed 31 Extension Master Gardener program staff representing 11 states as part of the 2026 National Extension Master Gardener Coordinator Conference.

The visit gave guests a firsthand look at how Growing Solutions Farm brings horticulture, inclusive employment, and sustainable growing practices together in a community-based setting. It also gave everyone a chance to connect, share best practices, and learn from one another.

We were grateful for the opportunity to share the work happening at Growing Solutions Farm with visitors from across the country.
