Bridging The Gap Between Officers and Youth

A local Chicago Police Officer, Officer Brown visited Chicago LAMP. He spoke with CYSC members and other LAMP participants about the social injustices of black and brown citizens. He focused on recent violence in Chicago, mainly communities surrounding North Lawndale. The youth asked challenging questions surrounding the safety of their community. Officer Brown gave very honest answers in a compassionate manner.

Food Drive

Chicago LAMP has been partnering with COSTCO and CFC4 to deliver fresh produce and food for families who participate in LAMP’s program. During the pandemic, these monthly food distributions have been a relief effort. Members of our Chicago Youth Services Corps contribute to serving community members.

Chicago LAMP wants to welcome all our children back for in person mentoring! Covid-19 was very unfortunate, and we missed so much time with the children. We want to extend the invitation for more children! WE ARE BACK OPEN !
