Harvest day went well yesterday at our 3rd Garden Site 😊🥦✨️!! The scholars collected 164 green beans(at last count) and also got the broccoli plants pruned and ready for harvest for next week. In addition, we transplanted their tomato and pepper plants into the garden 🍅. All of their hard work will benefit those in the community that are in need of food resources 👑🤝🏿...

Our Junior Gardners are hard at work mending to the garden 👨🏿‍🌾👩🏽‍🌾🧑🏻‍🌾!! I gave them some very particular rules for keeping the garden healthy and vibrant, and they have stuck to them religiously 🤞🏿😊 They are growing broccoli, cabbage, collard greens and green beans ✨️ They also have a tray of peppers and tomatoes that they've sprouted themselves 💕!! We are beyond thankful for our partnership with and look forward to an amazing grow season for the community, via our children 👑...

Our second grow site is coming along just fine 🥬✨️🥦!! The children have been supervising water distribution and created a 'W**d Pstrol' to pull any unwanted visitors from the beds 😊. Our goal is to produce 100 pounds of leafy greens for community consumption!! These are photos of cabbage, broccoli, green beans and collard greens 💕

Gyrls In The HOOD Foundation hosted an amazing event bringing awareness to the recent changes in SNAP benefit requirements and how to collectively secure food sovereignty as a community 💕👑✨️. I did a gardening demonstration on behalf of PTSD Garden. The community was eager to not only plant produce for everyone to eat at harvest, but also take a home their own individual plants to care for and eat from ✊🏿.
