Chicago Corps BBQ + Volunteer Fair

Summer isn't over yet! A late summer BBQ and volunteer fair is happening at the corner of 32nd Place and Morgan Street in Bridgeport. Attendance is free! This is the first event for a new project that Lumpen Magazine is doing called Chicago Corps.
Chicago Corps connects people with the organizations already doing the work of building stronger neighborhoods. Through volunteer fairs, community events, and an online directory, they help Chicagoans discover where they can lend a hand, meet their neighbors, and become part of something larger than themselves.
Other organizations participating include Bridgeport Alliance, Trash People of McKinley Park, Marshfield Courts, Pilsen Food Pantry, McKinley Community Play Garden, the 11th Ward, and others.
