This giving Tuesday help the Roof Crop Foundation expand programming by donating to the build-out of our 'Community Hive' called Muster Point. Even a small contribution makes a big difference and will allow the Foundation to build a greenhouse where we can host learning programs for children and adults alike. We spent a part of this lovely light filled Monday morning planning around The Roof Crop Foundation's third area of focus, Community. More specifically, Muster Point, our future community hive located in East Garfield Park. Muster Point will be anchored by a greenhouse for our urban agriculture plant start program. The goal is to encourage hands on community engagement through educational programming incorporating the greenhouse, raised beds, beehives and pollinators, and an outdoor gathering space.

It finally feels like fall and we can't wait to begin sipping warm pumpkin lattes while reminiscing summer days working with the . This photo is during a warm summer day when we hosted a honey extraction event showing off our bee hives. The Roof Crop Foundation Apiary program is one of the three areas of sustainability that the foundation focuses. Stay tuned to learn more.
