Gosh that was fun!🎄🤩 Our annual Christmas Ship Sleepover that we host for Scouts aboard our home & clubship truly fueled us for the big event yesterday! Always great to serve alongside our friends, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary & other youth groups. Massive thanks to the Chicago's Christmas Ship committee for this opportunity to serve the city & deliver trees to needy families! 🙏🏼🎄⚓️

Mondays are for MOB Drills…especially when we have the lake to ourselves! Our ‘Oscar’ is a very large white fender (we tie a bowline on the free end), and is an easy way to introduce new Sea Scouts to the commands & procedures vital for a safe & quick pick up.

Mirage finally got to race again today in 13-19 knots which made for some gnarly moments, but the boat is so capable & you could tell all too happy to show us what she’s got…SV Mirage is so fun to sail!⛵️👏🏼 Special thanks to Sailor & Sea Scout leader Gray W & Sea Scouts, we thoroughly enjoyed today’s regatta for a great cause! 🌊Speaking of - huge ‘Sea Scout Shout-out’ to friends of the Ship, Cathy M & Captain Bob for donating to our fundraising page benefitting the Alliance for the Great Lakes. There’s still time to donate if you feel passionate about keeping our Great Lakes pollution-free too (scroll down on our FB page for the post w/link).

Do you care about keeping our Great Lakes clean & pristine? Help us keep plastics out of Lake Michigan & support us & the Great Lakes Regatta next weekend! Alliance for the Great Lakes

Conservation is our middle name and keeping plastics out of Lake Michigan is our game! Ok, yeah- sailing is too, but it’s seriously not cool to pollute. Help us keep up the great work in preserving our Great Lakes!
