Two of our main objectives are:

To create job opportunities for graduates of training programs and service areas

To provide behavior modification techniques that prepare participants for the workforce The tuition-free South Suburban Violence Prevention Program caters to ex-offenders, unemployed veterans, the chronically unemployed, and persons recovering from addiction living on the South Side o

f Chicago. Our intention is to help these young men and women become economically stable community leaders through a combination of vocational training, behavioral therapy, mentoring, an employment-readiness program, and a final internship. Graduates from this program are instrumental in helping SSCDC accomplish its second initiative of providing low to moderate income housing for families struggling to make ends meet as well as renovating and maintaining other important community buildings. Eligibility Requirements for our program:

Required to pass a drug test

Must Pass a reading, writing, and math aptitude test at a 7th grade level

Complete an interview with program administrators
