We have never encountered anything like this before. This has caused us to become fearful, anxious and worried.
However, God has not given us a spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV) says “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” I know this is not an easy task because the flesh gets in the way and fills our mind. We must focus on the Word of God as we self-quarantine, or go to our essential jobs. You have the time, take your focus from TV or whatever is occupying your attention and get into His Word and pray.
Isaiah 41:10 (ESV) says “So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold with my righteous right hand.”
God will not leave you, He is right there alongside you, if you let Him in.
God may be trying to do something in you, consider these three things. First, he wants to build your character. God uses trials to mold and shape us. Second, trials usually comes in areas where we feel most confident. You may say, I have faith, I trust God, I’m not fearful, I’m okay, I can handle this. You must remember you cannot do anything without God. God will remind us that we are totally dependent on Him. Third, every trial we encounter, God wants us to look like Him. Through trials, He will definitely work on our fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; ...” , what do you need to work on? So during this time, let us turn our focus on Philippians 4:8, which says “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, ,whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”, Remember, He will never leave you nor forsake you.
