There’s no better way for girls to see themselves in media than to actually be featured in media.

Throughout the years, our founder, board members, and many of our GLMPI girls have had the opportunity to appear on news programs and media platforms to promote Girls Like Me Project, share their stories, and amplify the importance of our work. These moments matter because they show Black girls that their voices are powerful, their stories are worthy of being heard, and they belong in every space where narratives are being shaped.

At Girls Like Me Project, we know how important it is for Black girls to celebrate, explore, and connect with diverse cultural identities,especially right here in our own country.

There is so much to learn, witness, and experience when our girls are given the opportunity to step into new spaces, honor different traditions, and see how deeply connected our stories are.
