Global House Music Assocation.org (G.H.M.A.) is a not for profit organization that globally advocates for the entire House Music community, including DJ’s, promoters, agents, event planners, supporters, service professionals, and music enthusiasts. G.H.M.A.org and its global partners are dedicated to supporting the issues specifically impact the house music community such as entrepreneurship, personal growth and development, education, health and public safety. G.H.M.A.org will support the advancement of technology as well as policies and legislation as it relates to the Hosue Music community.
There’s a myth floating around within the Chicago House Music community that the DJ’s Promoters, Venue Managers can’t seem to work together because it seems everyone is out here for themselves; something to that effect... Whether true or not, It’s quietly spoken about all the time.
The G.H.M.A.org was created to bring the House Music Community and its Stakeholders together and to develop a Whole Community Approach to preserving the both the legacy and history of House Music. I’m pretty sure that House Music legends Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, Robert Williams, and Jesse Saunders all produced music out passion and love. The so-call myth has haunted the House Music community specificaly Chicago and it’s time for it to go bye bye! G.H.M.A. wants to encourage the entire house music community to become a member and participate in the planning, development, conduct, evaluation, and improvement of its programs and services.
So... who’s in!
