Hey Chicago! Feb 20th is the final open house for teens before youth programs begin next week. If you know a teen who would benefit from more self-love, community, leadership skills, arts, and so much more (while also getting paid!) - send them over to Culture Canvas Cafe this Friday to preview the program and meet new friends. Or go ahead and submit an application to the programs. Links in bio and QR code.

Hey Chicagoland!

In February, we have our first in a series of free community events happening on the 21st as well as our free youth program preview nights on Monday nights. Spread the word and come through if you can.

Feb 21: Sound Healing and Black History Hike is a free community event that includes a trail walk out at Dan Ryan Woods following by a sound bath and hot drinks and snacks in the Dan Ryan Woods Events Pavilion. This event is open to everyone, and funded by the Healing Illinois initiative for racial healing and community building. The hike is led by Black People Outside and in partnership with Friends of the Forest Preserves.

On Monday nights in February, we are offering no-pressure, laid back dinner and discussion for teens curious about our afterschool programs. From 3:15-5:30PM at Culture Canvas Cafe in Washington Heights (Chicago) teens will get to know our instructors, participate in activities, and partake in a hot meal. If they decide to join our programs, they'll also have a chance to apply on the spot. Youth programs launch on Feb 23rd and pay a stipend of up to $500 for 12-weeks of mindfulness, mental health, and self-love programming that centers culturally responsive arts and nature-based learning.

Hey Chicago! Our 💞 Self Love Bootcamp for Teens 🫶 programs are starting at the end of February and early March. Preview nights begin on the South Side on Jan 26th (includes free meal for all participants). Woohoo!!

Applications are open for our South Side location (at Culture Canvas Cafe in Washington Heights) and will open soon for our Northwest side (Jesse White Park) location.
