“Go and do likewise.” — Luke 10:37

It’s simple.
Not always easy—but simple.

Notice someone.
Move toward them.
Show mercy.

Not in theory.
Not later.
But in a real, tangible way—today.

This week’s challenge:
Identify one person who could use a little extra grace or help.
Then act on it.

Because Jesus didn’t just talk about loving our neighbors—
he showed us what it looks like.

Now it’s our turn.

Come be part of it next year.

Who’s doing work that more young people need to experience?

Drop an organization or service opportunity in the comments 👇

Because serving during youth is more than a one-time experience—
it shapes who you become.

It builds confidence.
Deepens empathy.
Expands your view of the world and your place in it.

This summer, 850+ young people are doing just that—
serving in 9 cities, showing up for their neighbors, and being changed in the process.

GO. SERVE. TRANSFORM.

Next year, will you join them?

It’s time to clean and tidy! Participants are assigned to a Cleaning Crew at least once during the week. The Cleaning Crew cleans and sanitizes restroom surfaces, sweeps the floor, restocks paper products, and empties the trash.

Community living means keeping everyone healthy and being respectful of the facility and congregation who is sharing their space of ministry with our program. It’s important to include each participant in the process, both as an act of service and to gain a broad understanding of respect.

“With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” — Mark 10:27

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the needs of the world.

So much brokenness.
So much to fix.
So much that feels out of reach.

But Jesus reminds us:
You don’t have to do everything—just start somewhere.

This week’s challenge:
Serve one person locally today.
One act. One moment. One step.

Because big impact doesn’t start big—
it starts with small, faithful yeses.

And somehow, God multiplies them.

When we serve locally, we become part of something much bigger—
a global movement of love, hope, and transformation.

Come be part of it next year.

Mealtime is vital to keeping our participants energized and healthy! We do our best to accommodate specific dietary needs and provide youth with appetizing and nutritious meal choices. During our registration process, each participant may indicate any allergens and dietary restrictions that they may have. Breakfast is a mix of continental and hot items, lunches are packed out (sandwiches, wraps, or salads) and eaten together while out in the community, and dinner is prepared and served at the host site.

Mealtime together provides participants opportunities to engage in conversation with other church groups, share their experiences, and practice communication.

During full-week trips, each group is financially responsible for one dinner or lunch on their own. Eating a meal in a local establishment is an opportunity to give participants more context and perspective of the community they are visiting. Serve Boldly provides a variety of suggestions at various price points that are highly recommended by local community members.

“Where you go I will go… your people will be my people.” — Ruth 1:16

Service isn’t just something we do.
It’s a way we choose to be.

A commitment to show up.
To stay.
To walk alongside others—not ahead, not behind.

Like Ruth and Naomi,
we’re invited into relationships that are built on presence and promise.

This week’s challenge:
Reach out to someone today—
a friend, neighbor, or colleague—and ask:
“How can I support you this week?”

Simple. Intentional. Meaningful.

Because real service doesn’t rush in and out—
it walks together, step by step, neighbor to neighbor.

Come be part of it next year.

Afternoon or evening activities provide participants with an opportunity to experience the culture and landscape of a community! Safety is a priority; groups are accompanied by Serve Boldly staff, traveling together with pre-communicated boundaries and check-ins.

During our program, at least one evening will be an evening of fellowship and community-building at the church. This gives each group a chance to recalibrate, engage in a restful time at our host site.

Other afternoon or evening activities may include sightseeing at an iconic location, playing at a park, or a visit to a local museum or ice cream shop! These activities allow youth and adults to broaden their horizons, experience different cultures, and gain new perspectives on lifestyles and settings that may be different than their own.

What’s one moment that changed how you see the world?

For many young people, it starts with serving someone else.

📊 84% of 18–24-year-olds say volunteering increased their confidence
—and their hope for the future.

Because when you step into someone else’s story,
your own perspective begins to shift.

This summer, 850+ students are hitting the streets in 9 communities—
serving their neighbors, building relationships, and seeing the world differently.

Not from a distance.
But up close.

Next year, it could be your turn.

Come be part of it.

What shapes the way we see each other?

Racism. Sexism. Classism.
The “ISMs” aren’t just ideas—they show up in real lives, real stories, real wounds.

📊 About 16.1% of teenagers report being harassed based on their family’s financial situation.
📊 About 1 in 4 adolescents report experiencing sexual harassment.

These divisions are real—but they don’t get the final word.

This summer, 850+ young people in 9 U.S. cities are choosing something different.
They’re building relationships. Breaking down barriers. Challenging the lines that divide us.

Not perfectly—but intentionally.

Next year, it could be your turn.

Come be part of it.
