Phi Kappa Psi, being the oldest and largest fraternity on the DePaul Campus is now considered one of the most successful Urban Fraternities in the United States of America. Members of Phi Kappa Psi IL ZETA in the early 2000’s began a philanthropy event to which bands would come play and donations would be given to a charity devoted to breast cancer research… That same event ended up becoming a DeP
aul University tradition known as FEST, which still occurs every year in early May. Our Annual Philanthropy event now is titled: "Co****le For Cancer" which funds go to Breast Cancer Research which happens every mid-May and involves all fraternities and sororities to come join games of Co****le (also known as bags) in a tournament. The winner of the tournament receives a prize of a donation to the charity of their Chapter’s choice and a trophy.2015 also marked the year that Phi Kappa Psi IL Zeta took on the LARGEST pledge class in Urban Fraternity history with a pledge class of 30
At the Grand Arch Council of 2016 Phi Kappa Psi was awarded Distinction in District 10 and in all chapters overall, also putting IL ZETA on the map as one of the most successful fraternities in the world past and present to hold a charter without using a legitimate fraternity house. Our current Chapter Advisor and Brother Marc Dumas has been awarded numerous distinctions and honors within Phi Kappa Psi and the United States Military- spearheading the idea of “Urban Fraternity Success” with determination and hard work.
