Tailgating For Hunger

Tailgating For Hunger "Have Cow, Will Travel" Tailgating for Hunger uses a high tech, mobile rotisserie grill to cook an entire cow, creating an impressive culinary spectacle.

The grill was built by mechanic Robert Bromberek, and together with veteran tailgater Tim Shanley from "Da Bus", and his daughter Melanie Bromberek, the grill is being used to cook up hundreds of pounds of top quality beef for needy people and animals. The giant charcoal grill is made of stainless steal and is ready to cook during rain or shine. The cow is attached to a steel plate and hoisted up

over the heat by hydraulic arms. Hot avocado oil runs through the spit, so the cow is cooked inside and out. All of this cooking is monitored by wireless heat sensors, and spectators can watch the cow's progress on a telemetry screen. The organization believes that tailgating can have a positive impact on communities. Some estimate that up to $12 billion dollars are spent on tailgating activities every year. Tailgating for Hunger hopes to harness the power of this American tradition and use it to give back to those in need. All of the meat cooked on the grill is donated to the people and animals who need it most. With your support and donations, we hope to reach as many fellow tailgaters and struggling people in our communities as possible.
