EYLA had the honor of attending the Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities’ 10th Anniversary Grantee Gala.

Thank you for welcoming Empowerment Youth Leadership Academy and for supporting our mission and programs through a grant. We are truly grateful that you believed in EYLA, gave us an opportunity, and invested in the work we do for our community.

💜 Thank You for Supporting Our Bereaved Moms and Families

Empowerment Youth Leadership Academy (EYLA) would like to thank Jessica Kwan for helping host such a meaningful event on October 10.

EYLA is also grateful to our wonderful guest speakers, Jose Ortiz, Fetal and Infant Mortatlity Review Study Chicago (FIMR), and Lachell J. Aaroneaux, Founder of Aaroneaux Global Group, who took time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge, stories, and valuable resources with mothers, families, healthcare professionals, and community members affected by stillbirth, pregnancy loss, infant loss, and child loss.

Thank you to Cook County Digital Inclusion Week for recognizing the importance of digital inclusion and helping connect families to trusted online resources, support, and advocacy.

Today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, Empowerment Youth Leadership Academy (EYLA), in partnership with Cook County Digital Inclusion, is bringing families and professionals together for an important virtual conversation supporting mothers and families affected by stillbirth, pregnancy loss, infant loss, and child loss.

This event will include:
✅ Shared stories from bereaved families
✅ Trusted grief and bereavement resources
✅ Information for doctors, nurses, hospitals, and helping professionals
✅ Guidance on what happens next after a mother experiences a stillbirth
✅ Digital tools, referrals, and virtual support services
✅ Information about EYLA’s Embrace Your Little Angel Program
✅ Resources to help families feel seen, heard, and supported

Our goal is to build a caring community where no bereaved mother or family has to walk through loss alone.

This event also highlights Digital Inclusion Week, a national effort to expand access to technology, internet services, and digital tools that help people connect, learn, work, and thrive.
