Our Sisters come in many different forms and backgrounds, but what unites us together is our strive to Preserve Latina Culture. 🤞🏼

We recognize September 15-October 15 officially as National Hispanic Heritage Month, though we as an organization make it our duty to encourage all to celebrate and take pride in our culture year round.

¡Felices fiestas a todos!

✨ Director of Standards - Nelly Gonzalez

✨ Delta Chapter - Alpha Beta Line Fall 2020

✨ Why PLC? - PLC gave me a home away from home. 💚 I was able to find sisterhood that, on a campus, I was new to and it provided me a great space to be able to be me. Not only did PLC provide a space for me to be empowered by other strong women. It also provided me a space to feel as supported to continue my higher education.

✨ Why join the National Board? - I joined the National Board because I wanted to be able to continue providing help and assistance to the sisterhood that gave me so much while I was working on my undergrad. I wanted to continue that growth and help pave the way for other sisters and for us to continue growing in other campuses to help other women feel empowered.

✨ Director of New Member Education - Yamiled Sánchez-Bautista

✨ Delta Chapter - Alpha Beta Line Fall 2020

✨ Why PLC? - I chose PLC because all my sisters welcomed me with open arms. As an interest, I struggled so much with family issues, my mental health, and I almost got kicked out of school. Not once did my sisters close the door on me, instead, they guided me and helped me in ways a thank you will never be enough. They empowered a shy and quiet undergrad. PLC has given me a home away from home. It gave me my amazing line sisters, my beautiful littles, my hard core Madrina of Education, my quetzallis, and it has given me a lifetime of friendships. When I think about why I joined PLC, I get emotional because of how this organization has shaped me into the woman I am today.💛

✨ Why join the National Board? - I always knew I wanted to stay connected as an Alumni. I wanted to join our National Board because I believe my work as a sister is not done. I was active for one year before I graduated, and I felt like I didn’t do enough in my chapter and as a sister. National Board gives me the opportunity to not only make connections and guide my sisters, but it gives me the ability to continue to be active within PLC while continuing the legacy our Madres started to ensure our sorority continues to flourish.

✨ Nu Chapter - Beta Line Spring 2023

✨ Why PLC? - As a first-gen Latina, I wanted to find a community that understood me. Within PLC, I found this community of ladies that I found the most comfort and fulfillment in—ultimately, a place I found I had a purpose. My values aligned the most with PLC and as a newer sorority on my undergrad campus, I felt that I could contribute meaning to such a young Chapter.

✨ Why join the National Board? - My value and purpose for PLC did not stop after undergrad. I wanted to take charge and find leadership at a higher level. Most of all, I wanted to understand how NB operates and be a good representative for my Chapter. I have come to know many new Sisters that I have otherwise never met and new opportunities that I never would have experienced had I not remained connected with PLC!

✨ Zeta Chapter - Lambda Line Summer 2020

✨ Why PLC? - I chose PLC because I saw the community engagement sisters had on the campus and I wanted to have more of a connection both on and off campus. In addition I saw the empowerment each sister had and wanted to be able to carry myself in such way as I wanted more growth during college.

✨ Why join the National Board? - I chose to join the board as I think it would a great opportunity to continue my relationship with PLC. PLC has offered me multiple opportunities and I would love to be able to provide that for future sisters. In addition, since PLC has been a huge part of my college career I would love to give back and put in the work per my national term.

☀️ MEET THE 2026-2027/2028 NATIONAL BOARD🌜

✨ Director of Community Relations- Clarissa Ochoa

✨ Theta Chapter - Zeta Line Spring 2022

✨ Why PLC? - I chose PLC because I wanted to be part of a community where I could embrace my identity as a Latina and first-generation college student. I was looking for a sense of belonging and the opportunity to connect with people who shared similar experiences and values. Through PLC, I found friendships that I truly cherish to this day, while also gaining valuable networking and leadership opportunities. PLC has given me a strong support system and a community that continues to encourage me to grow personally and professionally.

✨ Why join the National Board? - I chose to serve on National Board because I genuinely enjoyed my time in PLC during undergrad and wanted to continue that experience after graduation. I wanted to see what PLC would look like beyond the college level and have the opportunity to connect with sisters from across the organization. It has shown me that Hermanas por Vida truly extends beyond college and is something we carry with us wherever life takes us.

☀️ MEET THE 2026-2027/2028 NATIONAL BOARD🌜

✨ Director of Alumnae Relations - Teresa A. Lindillo

✨ Zeta Chapter - Iota Line Spring 2017

✨ Why PLC? - I joined PLC in Spring of 2017 looking for community and a place where I could feel seen, supported, and empowered! What I found was a sisterhood that has continued to grow with me through so many different seasons of life. Nearly a decade later, PLC is still a place where I can show up authentically, continue growing, and give back to the sisterhood that has given me so much.

✨ Why join the National Board? - I joined our National Board because I wanted to pour back into a sisterhood that has been such an important part of my journey. As Director of Alumnae Relations, I’m excited to strengthen the connection between our collegiate and alumnae sisters and create meaningful opportunities for Hermanas to stay connected, celebrated, and committed to PLC long after graduation!

☀️ MEET THE 2026-2027/2028 NATIONAL BOARD🌜

✨ Director of Administration and Chapter Guidelines - Isabel Ruiz

✨ Epsilon Chapter - Pi Line Winter 2021

✨ Why PLC? - I chose PLC because what I found in here I had been looking for my whole life. Growing up as an only child I longed for sisterhood and I got exactly that and more from this organization. As a transfer student to The University of Denver during Covid I was so scared I wouldn’t find my community but before my first year was over I was introduced not only to PLC but to a more confident, stronger version of myself all due to the support of my sisters.

✨ Why join the National Board? - I chose to run for National Board because my passion for this organization and our mission has never wavered even after finishing my undergrad. I have felt firsthand how supportive this organization can be during and after college and I want nothing more than to strengthen and continue that support system for my sisters.
