TCA has been hard at work assembling our zines for Zine Fest this Saturday 🫡 We’ve also been prepping decorations and other plans to make Zine Fest as cool as possible 🥳

Zine Fest is this Saturday, December 20th from 1-5PM! Come check out some awesome tablers, TCA zines, and stay for the music and fun 🙌

The Teen Creative Agency was started by in 2011. Since 2015 (probably earlier) the program has been making zines and hosting release parties. Over the years, the program has unofficially kept materials for the future.

Since 2022, our lead artists and apprentices have been working to organize, digitize, and encode these materials into an accessible archive.

This weekend, the TCA took a look at the archive and helped with some dating. More soon…

This edition of TCA Zine Fest is organized with support from and will feature
local artists, writers, and publishers tabling their work!

Alongside them, the Teen Creative Agency at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago will release five zines of their own, printed in partnership with the School of the Art Institute. Also check out the TCA’s zine archive, look at the past 14 years of youth social practice. The event is a celebration of DIY publishing, print culture, and local creativity, especially the future voices emerging from
Chicago’s youth.

Excited to be part of this year’s 21Minus at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. This annual youth-led takeover centers bold ideas, experimentation, and critical conversations. I’ll be sharing work that invites reflection, connection, and dialogue around community, memory, and art as a tool for cultural meaning-making.

21Minus is free for anyone under 21 and open to the public. Come by, engage with the work, and support young artists reimagining the role of the museum.
