Registration is Now Open for the I-NOMA Project Pipeline Summer Camp!

I-NOMA’s summer camp provides 6th–8th grade students of color with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of architecture, urban planning, and design. Our mission is to empower young people to affect change in their community through design.

Students work closely with local professionals to create designs they would like to see in their communities. For many students, Project Pipeline is their first introduction to the design world.

Such a great day connecting with the talented students at Harold Washington College!

We had the chance to meet amazing faculty and some incredibly bright, creative students who are already shaping the future of design. President Cordaroe Oscar toured the space and even stepped in as a guest critic for student projects, nothing better than real-time feedback and inspiration!

We’re also in the early stages of building something special… a potential new NOMAS chapter is on the horizon 👀 The energy was real, the students are excited, and I-NOMA is all in and ready to support!

Can’t wait to keep building with the next generation of designers coming out of Harold Washington College.

We pause to honor and recognize the lives of two esteemed members of the NOMA community and leaders in architecture.

Vernon A. Williams, the first president of I-NOMA, was instrumental in establishing a legacy of leadership, advocacy, and community-centered design that continues to guide our mission today.

Leon Bridges, a distinguished architect and long-standing NOMA member, broke barriers throughout his career and remained committed to advancing opportunities for future generations of minority architects.

We honor their lives, their work, and their lasting impact on the profession and our community.

We will share more information as it is received. We extend our condolences to their families, colleagues, and all those impacted by their loss.

Rest in power!
