Extra Life Chicago fundraiser Lilyia_art has created Brave Hearts of Chicagoland, a new community-led initiative focused on helping fellow gamers in the community with starting their own in-person events, sharing resources and ideas.

Whether you're planning your first Extra Life TSG event or looking to grow an existing one, Lilyia is excited to share what she's learned along the way about gamer-led events to help others make an even greater impact for Lurie Children's.

Brave Hearts of Chicagoland also features a mascot, named by Local Patient Champion , as a reminder of the children and families who inspire Extra Life fundraising every day.

In March, showed how a community can come together to lift up children and families when it matters most through the power of gaming.

Because of the incredible generosity and heart of attendees, volunteers, patient families, and organizers, $40,000 was raised in total for Extra Life Chicago and Extra Life Wisconsin in support of Lurie Children’s and Children's Wisconsin at this year's convention.

What began on the convention floor is now making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families across Illinois and Wisconsin, helping provide care, comfort, and hope when it is needed most.

Thank you, AdeptiCon, for showing what is possible when a community turns passion into purpose. And a special thank you to Hank and Matt for creating something that is changing lives in such a meaningful way.

We’re excited to share this year’s incentives with our Extra Life Chicago community.

We are also introducing lifetime incentives:
5 and 10 year Lurie Children’s milestone challenge coins
5K, 10K, 25K, and 50K lifetime fundraising pins

You’re getting a preview of the 5K pin now, and we’ll share photos of the final version once they arrive.

When you’ve finished your 2026 fundraising, please fill out this form so we can send everything you’ve earned. Incentives will be mailed in Spring 2027, including lifetime coins and pins:
