Vote Now to Help Shape the Future of Chicago Parks!

Your voice. Your vote. Your parks. The Chicago Park District's Citywide Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative gives community members the opportunity to help decide how funding will be invested in parks across the city. Community members can rank the project categories they believe should be prioritized, with the top-voted category receiving funding for improvements throughout Chicago's Central, North, and South Regions. Voting is open to all community members ages 13 and up, and every vote helps ensure future park investments reflect the needs and priorities of Chicagoans. Voting is available online or by paper ballot at all park fieldhouses. Learn more and cast your vote: www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/pb

Day 1 of Artists of the Wall is complete! 🎨☀️

What an absolutely beautiful day along the lakefront, filled with creativity, color, and community. We saw families of all kinds, friends of all shapes, longtime neighbors, and brand-new faces come together to create something special.

This year’s theme is We Are All Neighbors, and today was a perfect reminder of what that means. Thank you to every artist, volunteer, musician, sponsor, and visitor who helped make today so memorable.

We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow. 💙

Good morning, friends and neighbors!

The 2026 Artists of the Wall Festival starts today at 9:00 a.m. at Loyola Park, and we can't wait to spend the weekend celebrating art, music, community, and the beautiful lakefront with you.

Whether you're painting, cheering on a favorite artist, bringing the kids for activities, or simply looking for a great way to spend a summer day, there's something for everyone at Chicago's largest community mural festival.

🎨 See More Than 160 Community Murals Come to Life
Walk the wall and watch artists transform the lakefront into a colorful outdoor gallery. New artwork will be taking shape all day long.

🎶 Enjoy Live Music & Entertainment
Stop by the Strugglebus Stage near the Windform sculpture at the east end of Pratt Boulevard for live performances throughout the day.

👧 Bring the Kids
The Third Estate Arts Kids Art Tent will offer hands-on creative activities, and children can help paint a special community mural section of the wall.

🖌️ Interested in Painting?
All reserved artist spaces are sold out, but walk-up spaces will be assigned beginning at 10:00 a.m. today as space allows.

🛍️ Festival Merchandise
Pick up a commemorative 2026 Artists of the Wall t-shirt or tote bag featuring this year's festival artwork while supplies last.

🍔 Food & Refreshments
Blue Jay Cafe at Greenleaf will be serving food, drinks, and treats throughout the festival.

Most of all, take some time to enjoy the lakefront, connect with neighbors, and experience one of Rogers Park's most beloved traditions.

Artists of the Wall runs today from 9AM to 5PM and tomorrow from 9AM to 3PM at Loyola Park and Pratt Beach.

We hope to see you there!

They provide a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment while offering high-quality, handcrafted, fresh-juiced cocktails, craft brews, and small-production wines, with a curated selection of non-alcoholic beverages as well. Open 7 days/week, they strive to provide an experience that speaks to all walks of life, while also aiming to be as eco-friendly as possible by using compostable plateware and cups for those who choose to bring food to the space.
