Holiday for Hope

Holiday for Hope A global event bringing hope and resources to thousands of underserved children each December and into the New Year.

Created by Dreams for Kids on December 24, 1989. Holiday for Hope was the first event of Dreams for Kids, a visit to a small homeless shelter on the Southside of Chicago on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1989. As Dreams for Kids grew, so did its annual event. It became the day the mission begins anew each year and a day to bring together others in the spirit of the Holiday Season and all that is poss

ible. Today, Holiday for Hope is hosted by groups around the world, to acknowledge the most isolated children in every community and to celebrate the gift of hope. A commitment is made to provide opportunity and connection throughout the New Year. A single day of giving is replaced by a promise of opportunity.
