Tucked away in a letter from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation last week, along with proud notes about the foundation’s efforts to fight smoking and tropical diseases and its other accomplishments, was a section on education. Its tone was unmistakably chastened.

A large portion of Victory's Path's expenses are salaries. We are teachers and trainers. While we give some prizes and tchockes, we specialize in services, so our overhead reflects that.

That said, all of your donations to us, translate into services for our students. Far more of your dollars fund that effort than they do going through a name brand broad non profit to then be funneled to us.

Save a copy of this picture and take it to Panera Bread on Division and a portion of your purchase will help us prepare youth for careers.

We chose the Division Street location because it offers free parking with no validation needed. You can grab a bite without searching for parking and be close to shopping (Gold Coast and Lincoln Park) and nightlife (Bucktown and Wicker Park).
