ianist/Singer Elizabeth Doyle and renowned jazz and blues vocal artist Lynne Jordan, CPCX takes you to the historic root of this intimate musical stage expression. Get inside with native French singers and take the spotlight at the iconic Cabaret Lapin Agile. Life-long connections with masters in the vocal arts will be your most treasured souvenirs. In exchange, Claudia brings Paris (her birthplace) home to Chicago. The first JAZZ TOUR & SINGERS' WORKSHOP was held in PARIS from June 3 to June 10, 2014, and interest has been growing ever since. What do Chicago and Paris have in common? Great art, tall buildings, lots of ex-pats, tourists, traffic jams, AND a deep pool of talent among their cabaret, theatre, and jazz singers. While there is a long history of individual collaborations, ours appears to be the first collective exchange between singers. The Chicago Sister Cities project calls for an annual exchange of performances and masterclasses for singers of all nationalities, anchored by these two great hubs of music.
