Christopher M. Cash for Business Manager 2025

To my fellow Sisters and Brothers,

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I started my career in electrical construction industry, nearly 37 years ago. It all began as a summer helper, the year after I graduated high school, in 1988. After attending college for two years at Radford University, I switched gears, applied for the apprenticeship, and was accepted into the 5-year program. I graduated from the Washington, D.C. JATC Inside Wireman Apprenticeship, in 1995. After graduating as a journeyman electrician, I spent 12 years as a foreman or subforeman on dozens of projects out in the field around the Washington, DC metro region. In 2003, I started teaching at night for the JATC’s Manassas training center. In 2007, I accepted a full-time day school teaching position in Manassas, where I continued my plan to educate our members. By 2014, I became the School Coordinator at the Manassas training facility.
In the Fall of 2016, after the 2016 election, I was appointed the Director of Apprenticeship for the JATC. As the JATC director, I worked hard to get the program back on track. I pride myself on being an honest and fair person, as "what you see is what you get". I have been involved with this local from the day I started my apprenticeship, by attending many events, for coming up on 35 years. These events include, both charitable, political, and some just for the good of the Union. I have spent decades, both on the job and in the classroom, providing knowledge to the apprentices and sharing my experiences with all my Sisters and Brothers. As Financial Secretary, I worked with many members through life experiences, including the loss of loved ones and transitioning to retirement. I currently sit as a trustee on the IAP, JATC, and JATTF and participated in the 2024 negotiations.
During my career, I have attended many conferences for the IBEW, NECA, and the JATC. These conferences have provided me knowledge, regarding this three-sided triangle that we all must understand. I know, if elected as Business Manager, I would represent the local, as a fair and unbiased member of our local union. I promise that the decisions I make will have Local 26's best interest at the forefront. I have started from the bottom, worked hard to get where I am at, and I am ready for the next step. If elected, I will do my best to serve as your Business Manager and represent this local union to the best of my ability. We have come so far, and I know with your support we can take this union to a new level.
I am asking for your vote, for the position of Business Manager of Local Union 26, in the upcoming 2025 election.

Your Brother, now and forever,

Christopher Mark Cash
