Friends of Washington Park

Friends of Washington Park The Friends of the Washington Park Youth Program partners with the Chicago Youth Program (CYP) to bring U of C students and local students together on campus.

Started in the Lab School in 1996, the program has grown over the past 15 years to serve about 100 CYP students at a time. We tutor students from kindergarten to high school from the Washington Park neighborhood, one of the most under-resourced communities in Chicago. We meet Mondays from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in Cobb Hall and Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:30pm at the Social Science Administration Building

Just a reminder that we will have a winter quarter info session tonight at 5pm in Reg room 403!

Anyone interested in joining this quarter is encouraged to come, and if you know anyone who may want to start tutoring please spread the word!

Our first tutoring session will be next Wednesday, January 18th.
