Elephant Rebellion Statement on the Passing of Michael Aguhar

We at Elephant Rebellion are deeply saddened by the passing of our longtime collaborator and brother, Michael Aguhar. Michael leaves behind a legacy of integrity, bravery, and a spirit of kindness that touched everyone who knew him. He was gentle, yet his heart burned with a fierce passion for liberation, advocacy, and justice.

Michael served with dedication through organizations such as Crossroads Fund, AFIRE, and Asian Americans Advancing Justice, leaving an enduring impact on the communities he loved and supported. His legacy continues through his beloved daughter, Zoya, and his partner, Irina.

Michael was taken from us far too young, leaving a young family behind, and his loss is deeply felt across the organizing community. He brought positivity, energy, and a great spirit to everything he did, and he will be remembered with love and respect.

We at Elephant Rebellion extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life.
