Meet Myah. One of our 2026 Be The Miracle Scholars. 🎓

She showed up, worked hard, and never shrank herself for anybody’s comfort. Now she is headed to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, carrying her community with her.

This is what the Brenda J. DeBois Scholarship is for. Not just tuition. A declaration: we see you, we believe in you, and we made sure the world would too.

Congratulations, Myah. Go build something beautiful.

This is what Be The Miracle looks like.

It looks like Damari, a 2026 BTM Scholar, headed to UIC with his future in front of him. 🎓

But scholarships are only part of the story.

Your support helps us mentor young people, build leaders, develop young entrepreneurs, prepare youth for the workforce, invest in college dreams, and create programming designed to interrupt violence before it steals another future.

We believe Chicago’s young people don’t need saving. They need access, opportunity, investment, and people willing to show up.

That’s where you come in.

Every donation helps us keep doing the work, one young person, one family, one community at a time.

Don’t Wait On A Miracle. Be The Miracle.

There is a sunrise happening in Chicago, and it is not waiting for permission.

It starts in a classroom. A gym. A conversation between a mentor and a kid who has never been told he has vision. It starts every time a young person hears “you matter” and starts, finally, to believe it.

We did not build Be The Miracle to throw a party. We built it to throw a lifeline.

The Changing Seasons…Changing Lives Gala is where Chicago shows up for its own, one ticket, one ad, one shirt, one dollar at a time.

Because a miracle is not something that simply falls out of the sky. A miracle is a decision. Made on purpose. Made together.

We have seen what happens when a community stops waiting and starts building. Scholars become graduates. Survivors become mentors. Silence becomes song.

That is the work. That is what your support turns into.

🎟️ Grab a ticket. Be in the room.
📰 Buy an ad. Put your name on the mission.
👕 Cop the tee. Wear it like a testimony.
🤍 Give what you can. Every dollar moves a young life forward.
🔁 Or simply repost. Somebody in your circle needs to see it.

Jackie Jackson doesn’t just build businesses. She builds possibility.

From educator to entrepreneur. From creating jobs to creating pathways. From opening doors for herself to making sure somebody else can walk through them too.

That is what being a B.O.S.S. looks like to us.

This year, we’re proud to honor Jackie Jackson with the 2026 Be The B.O.S.S. Award at our Changing Seasons… Changing Lives Gala.

Because success hits different when your community succeeds with you.

Come celebrate Jackie. Come celebrate impact. And most importantly, come help us continue creating opportunities for the next generation.

Some people leave a legacy through what they accomplish. Others leave one through what they inspire.

That’s why we’re proud to honor Martellus Bennett with our 2026 Be The Vision Award.

While the world may know him as a Super Bowl champion, we celebrate the visionary behind Mr. Tomonoshi—the creator who is redefining what imagination looks like for the next generation.

From bestselling books like Watermelon Summer, The TOMONOSHi Way, and Black Thoughts to bringing those stories to life through Disney Jr.‘s Hey A.J.!, Martellus is building worlds where children don’t just consume stories—they see themselves inside them. As heroes. As inventors. As artists. As leaders.

That’s impact.
That’s vision.
That’s legacy.

Because the future doesn’t change when we simply tell young people to dream. It changes when we give them stories, characters, and examples that remind them they already have everything they need to create it.

Join us on Saturday, October 3 as we celebrate a leader whose greatest championship is empowering the imagination of the next generation.

🎓✨ Scholar Spotlight: Chiya Stonewall ✨🎓

Leadership isn’t measured by age. It’s measured by courage… the courage to stand up, speak up, and make room for others to rise.

That’s exactly who Chiya is.

Her heart for service, her passion for addressing health inequities, and her commitment to creating a better future remind us that leadership isn’t something you wait to grow into. It’s something you choose every single day.

Today, we proudly celebrate Chiya as one of our 2026 Brenda J. DeBois Be The Scholar Spotlight recipients.

Next stop… The University of Wisconsin–Madison. 👐🏾❤️

To everyone in Madison, get ready. Y’all didn’t just admit another student… you welcomed a difference maker. A leader. A young woman determined to leave every room, every community, and every life she touches better than she found it.

They got a winner.

Keep shining, Chiya. Your story is just getting started, and we’re honored to be a small part of the journey.

Don’t wait on a miracle…
Be The Miracle. 💚✨

Juneteenth is more than a date in history. It’s a reminder that freedom is a responsibility, not just a right.

At Be The Miracle, we believe honoring those who fought for freedom means showing up for our communities today. We mentor. We educate. We invest. We serve. Because the work didn’t end in 1865, it simply became ours to continue.

Every scholarship awarded. Every young person empowered. Every act of kindness. Every opportunity created. That’s how we honor the legacy of Juneteenth.

Don’t just celebrate freedom.
Create it.
Protect it.
Pass it on.

Don’t wait on a Miracle.
Be The Miracle. ✊🏾❤️💛💚
