GreenLight Fund’s annual Impact Report is live!

The 2025-26 report highlights GreenLight’s growth and impact with 71 portfolio organizations across 15 sites, including GreenLight Chicago. Over the last year, portfolio organizations across the network reached 1.6 million individuals and families nationwide.

Shamika will support GreenLight Kansas City’s five existing portfolio organizations and partner with the community to bring the next set of evidence-based social innovations to Kansas City, resulting in measurable impact and positive change for individuals, families, and children.

With support from local families, corporations, foundations, and philanthropic investors, GreenLight Kansas City has already raised $4M+ for Fund II, fueling this next phase of community-driven work.

Compass Working Capital is expanding their footprint in Chicago! They officially launched their first asset building pilot at two Low Income Housing Tax Credit sites in Chicago owned by POAH. With this expansion, they are reaching over 150 additional families.

Build Your Nest program will enable residents at three affordable housing properties to earn up to $1,200 per year in savings — marking the first implementation of a new framework for wealth building in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit communities.

GreenLight Fund Chicago has been on the move! We are at the part of our process where we conduct full diligence on our top 3 potential investment organizations to determine which prospective finalist is best positioned to become our next investment.

During this phase, we assess each organization's leadership, evidence of impact, financial sustainability, local budget, and readiness to launch successfully in our community. This rigorous process means that we take our team to the action, visiting sites in person to see programming and staff in action! This year takes us to both New York and Baltimore.
