International Women’s Day! 🌸

Tomorrow we celebrate the women whose leadership and courage have transformed education and opened doors for future generations. One remarkable Chicago trailblazer is Jane Addams, a pioneering social reformer and educator who founded Hull House in Chicago. Through her work, she championed access to education, community programs, and opportunities for immigrants and working families—believing deeply that education could uplift entire communities.

At Wingspan Scholars, we’re proud to carry forward that spirit by helping Chicago high school students access the education and opportunities they deserve—both in and out of the classroom.

Today we celebrate the women who paved the way—and the young women who are rising to lead the future.

This program gives students the chance to:

A Year of Growth, Connection, and Impact: Celebrating Wingspan 2025 🌱

As we close out another incredible year, we find ourselves reflecting on the moments that made 2025 truly special for the Wingspan community. What started as a vision to support and empower students has blossomed into something far greater than we imagined, and it's all thanks to people like you who believe in our mission.

🌱 Expanding Our Family

This year, we had the privilege of welcoming four new students into the Wingspan family. Each of these young people brings their own unique story, dreams, and potential. Watching them settle in, find their footing, and begin to thrive has been nothing short of inspiring.

🌱 Growing Our Reach
We also launched the Wingspan Newsletter, creating a new way to share student successes, program updates, and the moments that capture what we're all about. Plus, our social media community grew by an incredible 75%, helping us reach more supporters and advocates than ever before.

From all of us at Wingspan—students, staff and board members—thank you. Thank you for believing in potential. Thank you for investing in futures!
