Sardinia is unique. So was the dinner organized by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, Chicago Delegation. Authentic flavors and great dishes design curated by the young and talented Sardinian chef Daniele Sotgiu. A spicy cultural touch around the role of food in longevity - Sardinian is indeed one of the five blue zones in the world - by the guest and co-simposiarca Graziano Pinna, Professor at UIC. Aside - but certainly part of the main course - a great community of authentic Italian food lovers. Thanks to Nora Restaurant & Bar for hosting our spring event.

Highlights from Tuesday's event 🍴✨
Within the framework of The Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, we had the pleasure of hosting a remarkable roundtable discussion led by the talented Italian culinary expert Mario Rizzotti and chef Dean Zanella.

Together, we explored the rich themes of the Mediterranean Diet and Heritage Cuisine—a two-hour conversation on health, tradition, ingredients, taste, and seasonality.

To cap off the evening, guests experienced a guided olive oil tasting, led by our speakers. Sipping high-quality oils from Tuscany, Sicily, and Apulia, participants learned how to select and pair olive oils to suit different dishes and their personal preferences.

It was incredibly fulfilling to witness our attendees discover practical tips and culinary curiosities they can bring into their everyday lives. 🌿

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, our esteemed speakers, and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Chicago for partnering with us to make this event a success.
