From Patrick Dimmett:

“Grateful for the teachers who shaped my music journey from the very beginning. Mr. Miller and Mrs. Hampton gave me my first real experience with music through musicals, and that’s where I first realized how much I truly enjoyed it. Mr. Weirich guided me throughout all of middle school band and helped build my foundation as a musician. Coming into high school, Mr. Landrum and Mr. Coates made that transition fun through jazz band and ZSI combo. Being part of the combo under Mr. Coates pushed me to grow and become a better musician. Over the past two years, Mr. Hampton has continued that with combo, creating an environment that helped me improve and also made music fun through preparing for competitions. Really thankful for all of them and the impact they’ve had on me.“

From Astrid Harl:

“I have been so lucky to have my violin teacher since I was 3 years old. She has shaped my view of music and taught me so much. Her guidance and leadership has been shaping me over the past 10 years and made me who I am today.“

Notes from teachers supported by Notable Measures.

“Many of my students require multisensory learning strategies to engage in music making…
The deep velvety tone fills the air with calming vibrations they can actually feel.”
- A Teacher in Maryland

To the donors who make this possible, thank you for helping more students have the opportunity to play and enjoy music. 💛

From Cydney Bridges:

“My choir director I had from age 8–19, Mr. Marshall White, played a fundamental part in shaping not only who I am as a singer but who I am as a person. I grew up singing in the Voices of Unity Youth Choir, and through that organization I got blessed with Mr. White. He was the first person who ever saw true leadership potential in me, and he exposed me to the world. Through his direction with the youth choir, I was able to sing in China, Europe, and at Carnegie Hall. I would not be the Cydney I am today without his eleven years of impact on my life!”

From Eve Hodges:

“Mrs. Broge was my choir teacher for all four years of high school. Her care for her students and the enthusiasm with which she approached our music was so motivating. I looked forward to class with her every day and by my senior year, I spent three periods in the choir room because I just loved being there. Mrs. Broge is a devoted teacher who loves creating good art with young people. She is one of the reasons I chose to pursue music education, and I’m so grateful for the impact she had on me.”

From Eli Baker:

“Mr. Schroeder was my band teacher throughout middle school at Zionsville Middle School. Mr. Schroeder made band class fun everyday and really cared about and connected with his students. Mr. Schroeder also showed me that music will always be there, no matter what stage of life I am in. He was in the Navy for a few years after graduating from college and later became a music teacher after his time in the military. He also showed me that music is for everyone and has run a sensory-friendly concert for all of the life skills students in our district. Mr. Schroeder helped me grow my love for music greatly and is a big reason why I love music so much today.“
