Karin brings more than 30 years of experience across workforce development, public service, law, and community leadership, having most recently served as CEO of i.c. stars and previously as the founding CEO of the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership.

Today, we say goodbye to our amazing President & CEO, Dr. Kathleen St. Louis Caliento. In her more than four years leading Cara Collective, Kathleen guided us through moments of profound challenge and growth. From navigating the pandemic to launching new partnerships, expanding our reach, and deepening our commitment to equity and innovation, her leadership helped position us for a strong and sustainable future.

To mark her last day, Kathleen answered questions from some of our most important community members - our Cara Alumni. In the video below, she shares what she considers her greatest accomplishments, her hope for the future of the organization, and her advice for her successor.
