Helping Chicago Teachers

The goal of Jumping Beans Chicago is to provide students in grades K-12 in low-income Chicago Public Schools with the supplies necessary to promote learning. Often, the burden to providing school supplies for students falls to the classroom teachers. According to a recent article in US Today, classroom teachers can spend as much as $500 of their own money to support classroom needs. Our goal is to secure the funding needed in order to relieve teachers from the burden of spending their own money on school supplies.

Want to know what inspired Jumping Beans Chicago to help teachers? Amanda the founder works as a part-time substitute teacher and it broke her heart to see kids sharing 1-inch pencils without eraser. We want to prevent this from happening in our schools so Jumping Beans Chicago took it upon themself to create a nonprofit organization to support our hardworking teachers and students in need. The mission of Jumping Beans Chicago is to provide the necessary school supplies to as many students in need as possible. Our goal is to inspire the people of Chicago to come together and support this important cause for the greater good of our city.

Jumping Beans Chicago have created a fundraising page for Jumping Beans where you can make a donation. Every bit counts... $1, $5, $10, $20, etc. We appreciate anything you are able to give.

Once Jumping Beans is up and running full force I will be hosting events throughout Chicago to support our mission. we will be sharing all event information here so be sure to turn on notifications and follow the page regularly.
