Most women with breast cancer experience no symptoms early on.
That’s why regular mammograms matter.

Screenings can detect changes before you feel them — giving you more options and better outcomes.

Your health is too important to wait.

Cancer research saves lives — but it depends on support and funding.

83% of Americans support increasing federal funding for cancer research. Now it’s time to turn that support into action.

By speaking up, you help ensure researchers have the resources they need to develop better treatments and cures.

Your voice matters more than you think.

Honored to join leaders, advocates, and researchers in Washington, D.C. for the Annual Joint Hill Day hosted by the Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in support of the NIH and NCI.

Thank you to UChicago Medicine for the opportunity to represent Illinois alongside Kathy Goss, the UIC team, Dr. Jay, Jeanette, and Carmen as we advocated for continued investment in cancer research, healthcare equity, and community support.

A heartfelt thank you to our state representatives and senators for taking the time to listen to our stories, concerns, and experiences. These conversations matter because our communities deserve access to quality care, lifesaving research, and better health outcomes.

At Sisters Working It Out, we remain committed to being a voice for underserved communities and continuing the work to create pathways to care, education, and support.

As Nehemiah reminds us, “We cannot come down.”

May is Women’s Health Month — this is your reminder to put yourself first.

Scheduling your annual well-woman exam is one of the most important steps you can take for your health.

These visits help detect issues early, connect you to screenings, and give you the space to ask questions about your body.

Because prevention is power.

đź’¬ When was your last check-up?

Behind this number are millions of survivors, families, and communities impacted by life-saving breakthroughs.

Research is not just science — it is hope, progress, and more time with the people we love.

This National Cancer Research Month, we recognize the importance of continued investment in research that leads to better treatments, earlier detection, and improved outcomes.
