MEAN Girls Empowerment

MEAN Girls Empowerment A Premier Mentoring Program Exclusively Developed to Educate Girls Struggling Against Bullying.

08/03/2026

This summer, our girls explored, created, learned, laughed, and grew together through unforgettable experiences made possible by the 2026 Safe and Peaceful Communities Grant. From exciting hands-on activities and new friendships to leadership opportunities and confidence-building moments, every day was filled with growth, joy, and discovery.

As we look back, we’re reminded that when girls are given safe, supportive spaces to learn and thrive, amazing things happen. The memories made, lessons learned, and confidence gained will continue long after the final day of camp.

Here’s to an incredible Summer Camp 2026—and to doing it even bigger next year.

Every girl deserves someone who believes in her, encourages her, and reminds her that her dreams are possible.

As a mentor with M.E.A.N. Girls Empowerment, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, inspire confidence, and help shape the next generation of strong, resilient, and empowered young women.

Whether you’re sharing your experiences, offering guidance, or simply showing up consistently, your presence can make a lasting impact. Together, we can help girls discover their potential, pursue their goals, and become leaders in their schools, communities, and beyond.

If you’re ready to invest in the future of a young girl and make a difference that lasts a lifetime, we’d love to welcome you to our mentor team.

M.E.A.N. Girls Empowerment was in the building! 🏀✨

This is what empowerment looks like.

Our mentees had the incredible opportunity to experience WNBA All-Star Weekend, and one of our very own, Antownette, stepped into the spotlight by interviewing WNBA players. Watching professional athletes encourage and celebrate her confidence made the moment even more unforgettable.

At M.E.A.N. Girls, we believe that when girls are given access to opportunities, exposure, and encouragement, they discover just how powerful their voices can be. Experiences like these don’t just create memories—they build confidence, inspire dreams, and remind our girls that they belong in every room they enter.

We are beyond proud of you, Antownette. Keep leading, keep growing, and keep shining. Your MGE family is cheering you on every step of the way! 💜

We were honored to participate in the CPS High School Connection Program Resource Expo in partnership with the Girls Opportunity Alliance and the Chicago Sky Foundation. We had the opportunity to connect with incoming freshmen from Hyde Park, CVS, and Dyett High Schools, sharing resources, and opportunities designed to help them thrive throughout their high school journey.

A few of our mentees had the incredible opportunity to attend an exclusive grand opening event at the Obama Presidential Center’s Home Court! 🏀 They participated in a guided basketball clinic while gaining access to unique programming experiences designed to inspire, empower, and broaden their horizons. We’re excited to see our girls continue to learn, grow, and thrive through opportunities like these! ✨

The numbers tell a story—but the impact goes far beyond statistics. 💜

Our Girls Health Matters Summit brought together girls for a day dedicated to mental, physical, and emotional wellness. Through engaging workshops, inspiring speakers, and meaningful conversations, we empowered young girls with the tools, resources, and confidence to prioritize their health and well-being.

We’re proud to share our Girls Health Matters Impact Report and celebrate the partners, volunteers, sponsors, and community members who made this work possible. Together, we’re creating spaces where girls feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Read the full impact report and see the difference we’re making one girl at a time.
