The featured Arts Nonprofit for the 2026 Old Town Art Fair is Chicago Sculpture International! You can find CSI THIS WEEKEND, Saturday June 13 and Sunday, June 14 at the Old Town Art Fair at the Nonprofit Arts Org booth, located at the corner of Menomonee and North Park.
Chicago Sculpture International (CSI) was founded in 2004 as a 501(c)(3) membership organization and the first chapter of the International Sculpture Center. Its origins trace to the early 1980s, when a cooperative of Chicago sculptors organized a public exhibition at Navy Pier. The strong public response inspired ongoing outdoor exhibitions across the city, laying the groundwork for CSI’s formal establishment. Today, with nearly 300 members, CSI supports sculptors while expanding access to public art.
CSI has received grants from the Illinois Arts Council, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and the Driehaus Foundation, reinforcing its role in Chicago’s cultural landscape. Signature programs include Sculpture in the Parks, developed with the Chicago Park District and regional partners, placing temporary sculptures in neighborhood parks throughout Chicagoland.
The Chicago Tree Project, launched in 2014, transforms trees lost to the Emerald Ash Borer into public artworks, a model now adopted nationally. CSI also presents indoor exhibitions with partner institutions and operates Project Space, supporting emerging artists and community programming.
Through outreach, CSI offers free workshops and collaborates with organizations serving diverse communities, promoting inclusion and access to the arts.
