✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Good Friday Peace Walk. We share our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us.
We are so grateful to be surrounded by a community that doesn’t just care but shows up, honors, and takes action.

Together, we made six stops across Albany Park, lifting up the lives of 12 individuals lost to violence. Each step was a reminder that their stories matter, and that we carry them with us. 🪽

On this Good Friday, a day that calls us to sit with the weight of suffering and injustice, we gathered in reflection, remembrance, and solidarity.

Thank you to Pastor Tom from Christ Lutheran Church for your continued support, and to the many clergy who joined us in prayer. Your presence brought comfort and meaning to us all today. Thank you for praying for our lost loved ones.

To the elected officials who walked alongside us: thank you for listening. We hope that what you witnessed and heard today will move you to be stronger advocates for safer, more just communities.

We are also grateful to our partners and supporters, including Kabobi, CSSJ, Moms Demand Action.

A very special thank you to the survivors who shared their stories today. Speaking about your grief and pain is never easy, and your courage made this gathering deeply powerful. You were heard, and you are not alone.

As we stood together, we were reminded how important that work we do is and how it takes all of us to make a difference, to make an impact. ❤️

His Dreams, Our Story...

On September 2016 our family was struck by tragedy, we lost our beloved Israel Aragon Jr. to gun violence and just did not know how we were going to live after such a devastating loss. Our whole family died that day, our hearts went with him when he died and for months we walked around like zombies not knowing what to do. It wasn't until we started hearing stories about him from friends, coaches, teachers, co-workers, neighbors, and distance acquaintances that we realized that in order to go on with our lives we had to make Israel’s dreams come true. As a family we can speak marvelous things about Izzy, but hearing people describe him as loving, helpful, joyful, smart, talented, determined, big hearted, silly and all sorts of great things made us realize that we had to keep his legacy and everything Israel worked for alive. As a family we decided to start a foundation in his honor and help whoever we can because that is what Israel did, he helped people, he shared his happiness, his laughter, his love. Our mission is to spread awareness with much needed love and peace. To all those siblings, friends, & parents out there who feel as lost as we did and still do from time to time, we are here for you, you are not alone.
