Applications are now open for spring 2027 internships in my Chicago and Washington, DC offices, and I want young people from the South Side, the south suburbs, and all across Illinois to know there's a seat at this table for you!

Our interns do real work serving the people of the 1st District, from helping constituents navigate federal agencies to seeing how legislation gets made up close, so if you're ready to learn how public service actually works, apply by Friday, October 30th at jonathanjackson.house.gov/internships, or scan the QR code below!

🎥 African American Male Mental Health Summit Recap

Powerful conversations. Real stories. Lasting impact.

Our African American Male Mental Health Summit brought together men, youth, advocates, and community leaders to address mental health, break stigmas, and promote healing. Through open dialogue, education, and connection, participants gained tools, resources, and support to prioritize their mental wellness and personal growth.

Together, we created a space where Black men were seen, heard, valued, and empowered.

💙 Mental health matters.
💙 Healing is strength.
💙 Community changes lives.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make this event a success.

Mental health affects every part of our lives — how we work, connect, rest, and grow. Creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported matters more than ever.

Looking forward to joining advocates, professionals, and changemakers committed to breaking stigma and building healthier communities. 💚
