Be Fido's Friend is a 501c3, 100% volunteer run organization dedicated to dog rescue.

In addition to our primary goal of helping homeless dogs find forever homes, we:

1. Rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful and inform the public in order to put a stop to animal abuse and irresponsible breeding.

2. Promote holistic and alternative therapies to allow our animals to live long, peaceful and happy lives.

3. Educate the public on responsible pet ownership which includes the importance of spay/neutering.

4. Support, encourage and join forces with other animal welfare organizations.

🐾💕 From Healing to Happily Ever After! 💕🐾

Coco, a senior Shih Tzu who is proof that it’s never too late for a fresh start!

When Coco came into rescue, she was facing serious health challenges, including past neglect, hair loss, and the need for a splenectomy. But through it all, her sweet spirit never wavered.

After surgery, lots of TLC, and plenty of love, Coco blossomed into the happy little girl she was always meant to be. Today, she’s prancing down the hallway, wagging her tail, soaking up cuddles, and enjoying every minute of her new life. 🥰

And the best part? Coco found her forever family! 🏡❤️

She’s especially smitten with her young human sibling, and the two have quickly become best friends—sharing naps, cuddles, and plenty of everyday adventures.

From a difficult past to a life filled with love, Coco is officially living her best life! ✨🐶💗

At 10 years young and just 17 lbs, Coco has so much love left to give. 🥹💕
She loves every person she meets, enjoys her walks, and is happiest curled up on the couch beside her favorite human. 🛋️❤️ She’s dog-friendly, but truthfully… people are her favorite.
Coco is spayed, fully vaccinated, and has had a splenectomy after a nodule was found on her spleen. She’s ready to put that chapter behind her and spend her golden years being loved, cherished, and spoiled. 🐶✨
She doesn’t need much — just a soft place to land and someone to call her own. 💔❤️

We’re a little late with this happy announcement but better late than ever!

We are thrilled to announce our little Toby has landed in the most amazing home with Laura, who has adopted from BFF previously! And because he is the luckiest nugget ever, Toby also gets his own grandma, JoAnn, whose lap he has claimed while his ma is at work. We bet whoever left him in the trash bin doesn’t have it half as good.

Thank you to all of you who donated to his medical bills, please know every donation helped Toby and his health and wellness.

Happy Fourth of July everyone. Hope you are safely celebrating just like our newest adoptable Coco. She is not quite ready for adoption as she is undergoing medical screening, but this cute ten year old will be up for adopting in the next coming weeks. She loves humans and is good with other dogs but really all humans big and small are her jam.

We just can’t get enough of these Be Fido’s Friend dogs! A lovely afternoon with:

Alumni Cecil and Juicy Carl (formerly Einstein) with current foster and soon to be adoptable Toby.

Toby had a follow up at the internist today. We got some med adjustments, we are moving to monthly B12 shots and adding a little bit of pain management for his old man joints.

Overall the doctor is happy with Toby’s progress but he needs to put on more weight (he only gained 2 ounces). We are trying a novel protein diet with a single protein from Just Food For Dogs and if he’s still trending up in weight, he may be ready for a neuter in a month!
