Submissions are now OPEN for GenderCool's Champions of Change Awards, which recognize organizations that are rewriting what leadership looks like for transgender and nonbinary youth, their families, and the world. Nominations across 3 categories are open to any corporation, organization, or institution that has engaged with GenderCool or whose work demonstrably advances the visibility, safety, and belonging of transgender and nonbinary people. What a night of laughter, happy tears, and so many incredible people lifting each other up.

Through that joy, we raised more funding than ever at a single GenderCool event. And with more states represented than ever before, we proved that this community SHOWS UP for one another.

This year has been hard. Really hard. But the most challenging times call for the strongest resilience, and this community answered that call LOUDLY and PROUDLY.

Thank you to every guest, sponsor, volunteer, and Champion who made this night unforgettable. This is what showing up looks like. This is what the future looks like. Joy is resistance, and Chicago proved it.

The GenderCool Project will honor Congresswoman Sarah McBride with its first-ever Role Model of the Year Award, in recognition of her graceful determination and positivity in fostering hope for the next generation of leaders. She has shown transgender youth that they, too, can succeed beyond imagination by staying true to the values of hard work, kindness, respect and a singular focus on making the lives of everyday folks better. Congresswoman McBride will be accepting this award virtually.
