Franciscan Works is thrilled to introduce our newest Board Member, Craig Donnelly!

Craig is an enthusiastic and mission-driven student affairs professional with more than 22 years of experience in student engagement, service-learning, community partnerships, program design, and leadership development.

As Director of the Clark Center at Manhattanville College, Craig leads initiatives that connect students with meaningful community service and service-learning opportunities while fostering civic responsibility, social justice, and experiential education.

Craig's work also includes supporting campus ministry and creating programs that promote student belonging, reflection, and holistic development. Craig is skilled in designing, implementing, and assessing high-impact programs that strengthen student success, enhance recruitment and retention, and advance institutional mission and values.

He is recognized for building collaborative partnerships across campus and within the community, developing innovative training and educational experiences, and cultivating inclusive environments where students are empowered to lead, serve, and make a lasting impact.

After their parents passed away, James and his brother, Daluboe, were living in a shanty house in Blacktom Town with their wheelchair-bound older brother who was injured in a car accident.

Local community members helped them from time to time, but when space opened up on Liberia Mission, the brothers were eagerly taken in so that they might both have the opportunity to grow and flourish, despite the enormous challenges they have already experienced.

Liberia Mission's Summer Work Program is in full swing! This program provides hands-on training in minor construction, agriculture, and campus upkeep. Students receive stipends for their work as they help revitalize Liberia Mission for the coming year.

This year, projects include: cleaning the property and drains, repainting the Mission's buildings, and the construction of a new fishpond. Great job, everyone!
