For the second year in a row, Salt and Light Coalition has been selected as a grant recipient of AHLA Foundation’s No Room for Trafficking Survivor Fund — $90,000 to remove barriers for Chicagoland trafficking survivors as they heal and pursue self sufficiency.

The AHLA Foundation just hit its $10M funding goal, backed by Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Extended Stay, Red Roof, Encore and more. Grateful doesn’t cover it.

A little rain couldn’t dampen the energy of today’s advisory board meeting. We spent the afternoon discussing plans for our upcoming gala, exploring new opportunities for our Salt Tank program, and reflecting on how beautiful Cohort 22’s graduation was! Thankful for the guidance and support of these strong and powerful women!

Today our Cohort 22 valedictorian reminded us why this work matters. This is what thriving looks like. We are so indescribably proud of our Thrivers and the work they have put in for this special moment 💛🖤🎓

Moments like these speak to the heart of our mission: creating space for survivors to be fully seen, fully heard, and fully themselves. During our ceremony, one of our Thrivers filled the room with words that moved every single person in it. Her voice is a reminder of what is possible when survivors are met with the love and freedom to tell their own stories. We are so grateful to hear her story, and so deeply proud of each woman that has walked alongside us throughout their journeys.
