🎉⚾ Happy Birthday, Ofc. R. Anguiano Jr.! ⚾🎉

Today we celebrate one of the true foundations of the Chicago Police Knights Baseball Club.

As one of our Original Knights and an 8-year veteran of this organization, R. Anguiano Jr. has been there from the beginning, helping build this club into what it is today. His loyalty, dedication, and commitment to the team have never wavered, and his leadership both on and off the field continues to set the standard for what it means to wear the Knights uniform.

Through the victories, challenges, long seasons, and championship runs, Cito has always been a steady presence and a teammate you can count on. He is truly the heart of our club and a huge part of the CPD Knights family.

Thank you for everything you have done for this organization, your teammates, and our community. We are proud to call you a Knight and even prouder to call you family.

DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP! ⚾️💙

It was a long day at the ballpark, but your Chicago Police Knights showed their resilience, grit, and determination, completing a two game sweep of the Chicago Devil Rays Baseball Club.

The Knights got the job done with timely hitting, outstanding pitching, and a never quit mentality from start to finish.

🔥 Sgt. Barrera delivered a huge performance in Game One, throwing a complete game while going 7 innings, allowing just 3 earned runs, and striking out 7.

🔥 Det. Ben Rietz was dominant in Game Two, tossing 5 shutout innings, allowing only 2 hits while striking out 11 batters, keeping the Devil Rays offense off balance all afternoon.

The day’s biggest moment came in Game Two when Ofc. A. Cintron stepped to the plate and delivered a walk off line drive to right field, driving in Ofc. C. Collum for the game winning run and sending the Knights home with a sweep.

This season has been far from easy for your Boys in Blue. Injuries, inconsistent availability, demanding work schedules, and other challenges have tested this team week after week. Yet through every obstacle, the Knights continue to show up, battle, and represent the badge with pride.

A sweep won’t define the season, but it is a reminder of what this team is capable of when everyone comes together and competes as one.

Join us for a special evening of baseball, community, and support as your CPD Knights take on the ISP Troopers in a meaningful “City vs State” charity matchup benefiting an incredible cause.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the ISP Heritage Foundation and the Pacheco family in support of Emma Pacheco.

On this Memorial Day, we pause not just to enjoy a long weekend, but to remember the true cost of the freedoms we live with every day.

Today is about honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. They wore the uniform, answered the call, and made the ultimate sacrifice so that others could live in peace, raise families, and chase their dreams. Their courage is the foundation of the liberties we often take for granted.

It’s a day to reflect, to remember their names, their stories, and the families they left behind. It’s also a reminder that freedom is never free, it is earned and protected by those willing to stand in harm’s way for something greater than themselves.

As we gather with family and friends, let’s take a moment to truly honor them. Say their names. Share their stories. Fly the flag with pride.
