Delta Chi Omega chapter members had the distinct honor to preview the magnificent Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park last month. The reactions to visiting the beautiful space included awe, inspiration, pride, and gratitude for the beautiful legacy of Barack and Michelle Obama. As the Obama Center prepares to open its doors to the world we join others in saying “Thank You!” to the Obamas for all they have done for the city of Chicago, the nation, and the world. Join AKA DCO GenNext for community service, environmental awareness, & creativity through a neighborhood clean-up & plant potting activity.
Join GenNext as we take global action and dedicate time to caring for our planet!
Participants will help beautify the community through a neighborhood clean-up around Twiggs Park, followed by engaging activities that promote a healthier environment. The event will conclude with a hands-on opportunity to repot a plant and decorate a flower pot as a way to connect with nature and celebrate environmental stewardship.

On Wednesday, May 13, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Delta Chi Omega Chapter were joined by members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated®, Theta Kappa Kappa Chapter for a voter registration drive during Evanston Township High School’s senior cap and gown pickup. Together, a total of 136 new voter registrations were completed throughout the day. Congratulations to the seniors of ETHS, and best wishes as you prepare for this exciting next chapter!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our friends, family, and followers. As Delta Chi Omega celebrates Mother’s Day and observes Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we recognize the importance of positive mental wellbeing for women who serve as pillars of our families and communities. We are reminded to amplify the JOY that already surrounds us because it cultivates peace and self-acceptance.
