Today is National Black Mental Health Professionals Day!

Did you know that only 2% of psychiatrists, 4% of psychologists, 7% of marriage and family counselors, and 11% of professional counselors in the U.S. are Black?

Representation matters. Black mental health professionals play a critical role in expanding access to culturally responsive care, building trust, and helping communities thrive. Today, we celebrate the Black clinicians, therapists, counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists whose work strengthens the mental health and well-being of our communities.

Are you a Black mental health professional looking for new opportunities? We’d love to connect—reach out to learn about available positions and ways to join our network.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Today is LGBTQ Families Day!
A day to celebrate LGBTQ families, honor their stories, and recognize the strength of families that are found, formed, and chosen. 💖

As we celebrate, we're also reflecting on a major victory from last year: the Equality for Every Family Act, which CTC helped advance alongside Equality Illinois, advocates, legal experts, and families across the state. This landmark law helps ensure LGBTQ+ families in Illinois have equitable access to secure legal parentage and legal recognition.
We're proud to have contributed to a future where every family is recognized, protected, and valued. ✨

Looking for support or community? Connect with a therapist through our intake form in our bio. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

💙🌈WE FEEL EVERYTHING🌈💖

CTC is taking over the Balmoral Stage at Midsommarfest with our showcase WE FEEL EVERYTHING happening Friday, June 12, from 5:30 pm to 10 p.m.

Does the world feel like too much sometimes? Do you want to let loose, dance, and have fun? This show is for you!

We’ll start the show with a live Q&A “Let’s Unpack That”, where our very own clinicians answer questions from the audience. This isn’t a therapy session though and is strictly for educational and entertainment purposes only.

After, we will have music from to help us dance the night away followed by performing the best burlesque show in town.

But CTC won’t just be there Friday — We’ll also have a table all weekend at the festival where we’ll be screening new potential clients and spreading the word about CTC’s work and misson!

Will we see you there?👀 Let us know if you’re coming down below!
