Dan Saunders
9/26/1960 - 10/12/2016
Nine Christmases. Nine birthdays. Nine years of moments where we still think, “He would’ve loved this… Wish he was here.”
And nine years later, ALS still has no cure or viable treatment.
That’s why we continue.
Since the start of Families Unite Against ALS in 2016, we’ve contributed over $550,000 directly to research, with an ongoing commitment to Dr. Nicholas Maragakis and his team at Johns Hopkins, leaders in the science that gives us hope.
Today, in honor of Dan, the foundation is donating another $50,000 to fuel that work forward. We are deeply grateful to all the donors who have helped make this possible.
We don’t share this for recognition. We share it as a promise: We’re not stopping.
Not until families like ours are no longer losing loved ones to ALS and need to have these anniversaries.
