Good morning 😃 I want to help someone this morning. I talked about this yesterday in our Wednesday Morning Faith Builder

People are being confused by what’s going on in the world. They ate judging peoples ministry because they dont agree with how they worship but I encourage you to do what scripture says. 1 John 4:1-21 gives us the litmus test.
1. Test the spirit to see if it is of God. DO NOT try the spirit by the spirit!!! Test the spirit to see if it is of God! If they DO NOT confess Jesus Christ. It is NOT GOD!!!!

2. Where is the Love. The same chapter says there is no fear in love and if someone says they love God and hates his brother he is a liar. They are not of God

So when you see a news article or video hold it up to the text. You will find out quickly if it’s God or not.

No love no God!

FEAR

During my session with one of my coaching clients, the topic of FEAR came up. I want EVERYONE especially those who use "God has not given us the spirit of fear..."(2 Timothy 1:7) as a quantifier for when you feel afraid. Listen there is a difference between the emotion of fear and the spirit of fear. God DID NOT GIVE YOU THE SPIRIT OF FEAR!!!!!!! But he DID give you the emotion of fear. If you did not have the emotion you would never know what it feels like to be brave. The EMOTION of fear can actually help you. It's a trigger to watch!!!! It doesn't cripple you. It triggers you to watch. When you are moving into a different area or place fear will come but move anyway!!!! FEEL IT, ACKNOWLEDGE IT, MOVE ON FROM IT!!!!!!!!

Not that I'm old but at this age, I've learned three things about when people are talking about you.
1. They are genuinely concerned or
2. They are genuinely ignorant of the subject matter they are speaking on or have 1 side of the situation. or
3. They are genuinely jealous.

In either of the three scenarios, MY RESPONSE makes the difference. Even if someone is concerned I can acknowledge without deeply sharing. Everyone isn't privileged to that. The level of relationship matters! In the other scenarios, I choose to stay on the RIGHT SIDE OF RIGHT. These two scenarios can cause anger which can cause you to act out. I'm choosing to stay right. Everything and/or everyone doesn't get the privilege of my response.

The only thing I promise to do in these situations is declare the word...

1 Peter 3:10 I will keep my tongue from evil
Colossians 4:6 My conversation will be full of grace and seasoned with salt
Psalm 141:3 Father set a guard over my mouth and keep watch over the door of my lips.
