ORD Fleet Discussion/ Q & A Page Uncensored Bringing the Union back to the Workers

06/28/2024

First and foremost, we would like to thank our supporters of the 2024 Local 512 TWU elections. You know who you are, and we truly appreciate the outpouring post-election. As we have shared with most of you, the Trevor/Zieba slate did not lose, unfortunately, Local 512 members experienced the loss. The true winners of the union election were local management since our current local union leadership is nothing more than an extension of management.
We’ve given a lot of thought to the direction of our page and collectively we had decided to provide a platform that creates a truly open forum to pose questions and comments without censorship. We will continue to fight for you and advocate for you the best way we can by offering this page as a way for you to have a place to share without fear of retaliation. Feel free to ask questions (directly or anonymously) feel free to call out the wrongs, rights or anything in between.
As we move forward we hope to provide useful information to the membership.

Thanks Juan Elvira, Michael Szwed Chuck Limjoco, we appreciate the negativity and so do the members. We're glad to see spellcheck was used this time around. Nice to see the current slate likes to perpetuate hate. RISE ABOVE, LEAD BY EXAMPLE

Chuck Limjoco To address your comments about my (Daniel Wolski) priorities and criticisms of the current leadership, see below.

I separated from my accounting role in May of 2022 and I’m 100% dedicated to working for the members of local 512. As a CPA, I personally know the demands of a rigorous and time-consuming workload, therefore your 24-hour commitment does not intimidate me.

I’ve noticed the deficiencies in your slate’s capabilities to provide the necessary services to its members much earlier than that post.
Building a cash balance without any direction for those funds is a detriment to the members. I asked numerous times for your group’s plans with the funds, and the only answer I received was a remodel of the union hall’s kitchen was due. That’s a great investment for the 3 to 5 members that actually attend membership meetings.

Are these the CD’s you are referring to? Since I’m not allowed to review the financial information personally, I can only make assumptions from the publicly available LM-2 documents.
$1,800 in interest on $800,000 is a pathetic return.
