Thank you to Coach Crawford and Taneesha Henderson Crawford | Author & Educator Institute of Culture Wellness for inviting the ASAP interns to learn about festival planning and production through the Lollapalooza Immersion Day. As we continue to build out our Always Love Fest this was the perfect way to teach them about production. Thank you to Lollapalooza as well for the great sessions and festival experience. See you all next year ✌🏾

ASAP Summers are unmatched.

Teaching them to learn and lead is also teaching me to delegate and release. It’s a hard thing to do when you’ve had to play every part of building your own organization. However I fully trust that they can execute the tasks at hand. So meet the ASAP interns (missing one). Get in tune and reach out to them if you would like to support the Always Love Fest❤️.

Today my ASAP summer interns had the pleasure of sitting in on a Cook County Board Meeting and discussing their experiences with Commissioner Tara Stamps. She gave them the raw truth and they soaked it all up. We had lunch and discussed their views on the current state of the world. One of the interns said “This is the motivation we need because the people talking look like us”💯. Also much love to my former boss Commissioner Michael Scott Jr. for coming in and showing them love and extending an invitation to speak to them about budgets. Thank you to Commissioner Bill Lowry for stopping in and speaking to our youth about their futures.

One thing I’m going to do is put the next generation in position to learn and lead🫡.

This is real impact🙏🏾
